BY CAR, BY BIKE, ON FOOT OR ON HORSEBACK

BY CAR

From Lincoln – Take the A158 signposted to Skegness. 5 miles after Wragby, turn right to Minting and follow the brown tourist signs.

From Skegness – Follow the A158 signposted to Lincoln. 5 miles after Horncastle, turn left to Minting and follow the brown tourist signs

From Woodhall Spa – Although there is a more direct route, the least ambitious way is to proceed to Horncastle, pick up signs to Lincoln, and follow route as from Skegness above.

Or put LN9 5RS in your sat nav and enjoy the country drive!

BY BIKE

The quiet country lanes around the area are ideal for cyclists.

We are on the Bardney, Stixwould & Minting circular cycle route a leaflet of which is provided by the Lincolnshire Limewoods Project. They have put up bike stands along the route including two at The Sebastopol.

We are located near point 14 on their map (below).

ON FOOT

Using an Ordnance Survey Map (Explorer Map 273) any number of circular walks can be planned using The Sebastopol as your base.

You can also park at the Chambers Farm Wood Visitor Centre, wander through the limewood and follow the map below to the pub. This is a linear walk so you'll have to retrace your steps. Perhaps a better idea is to park at the pub have a leisurely lunch, walk to the Visitor Centre and be back just in time for opening!

We welcome dogs provided they are accompanied by well-behaved owners!

ON HORSEBACK

We are happy to accommodate horses and their riders. However we shall be grateful if you will ensure that they do not eat the plants - the horses that is!

Any 'deposits' should be collected and put on the garden although we're afraid that this will not entail the owner to any deduction from their bill!
